I loved this book. The story line and the characters had me pulled in from the first pages. The story is as wonderful combination of intriguing characters, faith, romance, family secrets and suspense with lots of twists and turns that kept me reading because I didn't want to put it down. This is another one from this author that I thoroughly enjoyed and definitely recommend.
I found this book kept me turning pages. Well written by Elizabeth with a few twist in the story I never thought of. Evan Black's father pretty much had his life planned out for him. Only way he was going to get promoted in the company was to do as his father asked him to do. But this time the cost would be to much! What black sheep is Evan's father hiding that he never knew about? Get the book great read.
Ms. Goddard's three books were amazing and compelling reading. Waited until I had read all three before writing. All set in the northern California redwood forest areas where I not only learned a lot about the amazing giant trees, but also the romances were intriguing as well. Just enough Christian background to be realistic but not preachy.
A walk in the mist brings two people on their separate ways
together for the beginning of an involved story.
Elizabeth Goddard tells a story in the remarkable way of
creating then adding twists and turns around every corner.
She knows how to bring the story alive by breathing life into
every situation.
The main characters were well developed with undeniable
chemistry. The supporting characters all add a handful of
flavor to the story
The book covers secrets, deceit, betrayal, viciousness, greed,
hatred but is also filled with faith, friendship, trust, forgiveness
and love
The tension was thick and well-sustained. I read the book in
one sitting.

This book recently got a new cover to it that immediately got my attention and drew me into the story! Really enjoyed Evan and Sela's journey as they heal and move forward.
Evan was nothing but a gentleman throughout the story and loved how he wanted to protect Sela even before he meets her. Even though his father offers him a promotion that Evan would love to get, he's not willing to compromise in order to get the job. Evan must work through forgiving his father and even though he desperately wants his father's approval, he is determined to not sacrifice Sela's trust to win it.
Sela is an easy character to love from the start. Her husband died five years ago and she really wants to heal from his loss and go on with her life. Meeting Evan was not what she expected, but she's drawn to him immediately and it was touching watching their friendship become more.
This story was charming from the beginning and then a few twists show up making the story more intriguing than I expected. Really enjoyed this one and so happy there's now a new cover to admire!
